Only 104 Days Left Until Christmas....Are you ready?

=D  No I am not trying to scare you but seeing how quickly September has flown by the Holidays will be here before we know it.  With four children now in our family our Christmas budget has to stretch even farther this year.  So I have been thinking a lot about making most of our Christmas presents this year.  I am excited about teaching my children the importance of taking our time to make something personal for the people we love. 

What about all of you?  I would love to hear what kind of gifts you have made or are planning to make for the Holidays.  Let's inspire each other this year!!

One thing that has truly inspired my home-made gift frenzy this year is the brand-new Holiday Mini Catalog.  As soon as I saw it, I was inspired and filled with creative holiday ideas.  There are so many incredible accessories, paper, stamps and so much more in this catalog.  My wish list is quite long.  After all, if I am making quality home-made gifts I should have all the fun accessories to make them, right?  =)

New Arrival

 

Daulton Richard Scott arrived July 20th at 6:18AM.  He made quite an entrance at 12lbs, 1.5oz and is now the largest baby born at our hospital naturally.  He was 21.5in long and his head was 14in.  After a rough delivery and some complications both baby and Mom are at home recovering. 

 I will be taking the next three weeks off from Stampin' Up! (one of the perks to owning my own business =).  Marker Club will kick off on the 19th of August.  I am still answering e-mails so if you have any questions about the new catalog feel free to ask.

Travel 6" X 6" Designer Scrapbook Album Class

June 19th at 6:00PM

We will be completing a 20 page 6" x 6" Travel Theme Scrapbook Album that night (plus you will take home lots of extra paper and supplies for other projects).  The cost of the class is $50 which includes:

The new Herringbone Designer Scrapbook Album and 10 page protectors,

A pack of our new Travel Journal Designer Series Paper and 2 sheets of 12" X 12" card stock in the following coordinating colors:  Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Garden Green, and Kraft,

One yard of Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to decorate the front cover and embellish your album plus two yards of 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon in the following colors:  Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue and Night of Navy, and in addition to the ribbon you will also receive 25 silver brads for your album.

Few & Far Between

I just wanted to warn you all that posts on Stamping Bliss may be few and far between over the next two months.  I have pictures to post over the next few weeks but I will not be able to get back to the Monday-Wednesday-Friday routine for awhile.  As those of you who follow this blog know, I am pregnant with our fourth child.  This has been a very difficult pregnancy and I just received word that some of my recent test results were not good.  So I have to go back in for testing.  We are hoping and praying that the next set of results come back fine.  If not, then they could signal some serious complications ahead for us.  So as you can imagine, I will have to put blogging here on hold for a while.  

I am still planning on holding my classes and clubs but not doing anything extra until the baby is born in July (unless I have to have him early).  If you want an update on my stamping bliss activities then go to my Stamping Bliss Facebook Page and click "like".  That is an easier, less stressful way for me to keep up.  I will let you all know what is happening.  Until I can post again...

 

 

Color Renovation--Introducing New Color Collections

I am so excited that I can barely contain it!!  I have fabulous news and I cannot wait to share it with you.  I thought about teasing you a bit, but I just can't wait.  =)

Okay, so maybe I couldn't resist teasing you a little.  =)

Stampin' Up! has just announced that they will be revamping our color families as of July 1st.  This means a major overhaul of our color families, a reduction in the number of colors being offered and a brand new twist to our popular In Color program.  Sounds a bit overwhelming I am sure.  But don't worry, it isn't as complicated as it sounds.  

Here are the brand new color collections.  You will notice that there are quite a few colors included that are from our current color families and many favorite retired in colors that are now part of our core collection.  We will be going from 48+ colors to 40 (+5 In colors to be released on July 1st).  Plus six new colors to spice things up a bit.  It will be more affordable than ever to purchase all of our core colors.  The new color Crumb Cake is actually Kraft, it was just renamed.

Now you may be wondering what colors from our current color families that will be gone forever.  Here is the list of the colors that will be gone forever.  If there is a color you really love now is the time to stock up on ink, card stock and accessories before supplies run out.

New Look....Almost

I am not the most computer savvy person in the world.  I freely admit this.  =)  I have learned a lot about blogging and computers from the "try, try again and even then, keep trying" method.  I have recently ordered a book to help me figure out Typepad a little better but I thought until it arrives, I would do some playing with my blog.  Let's face it.  I am impatient and wanted a change now and couldn't wait for the new book to arrive on my doorstep.  So I have been playing and figuring out how to create my own, custom blog on Typepad.  

So now you are seeing the tentative, final result.  I still have some tweaking to do over the next few days but overall I am pleased with the results.  Especially since I had no idea what I was doing when I got started an hour ago.  =)

My blog header was created with My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up!  I love this software because there is so much you can do with it: scrapbook pages, cards, calendars, DVDs, blog headers, widgets and so much more.  I honestly had no idea about the possibilities until I started playing with it.  All the paper colors, stamps, punches, etc. are exclusive to Stampin' Up!  So it is so fun to be able to play with all of that fun stuff on my computer.

My new signature is also from MDS.  In previous posts it looked a little fuzzy (you may have noticed last week that my custom header was also looking a little fuzzy).  After playing around on MDS and Adobe Photo Shop I finally figured out how to resize the image and get it saved at the right resolution.  I am much happier with the result.  I will be working on a widget for my Facebook Stamping Bliss page as well.  If you are not a fan you are missing out on class updates, exciting upcoming projects and so much more.  So sign up to be a fan and don't miss any of my fabulous opportunities to stamp.  =)

Time for a Change

Okay, so I decided my blog needed a new look.  So please be patient with me over the next few weeks as I tinker and play around with the look and design of my blog.  I think it must be since I am pregnant I am feeling the need to nest a bit.  Since that isn't possible in my house at the moment I am going to tackle my blog.  After almost a year of the same design I wanted something fresh.  So keep coming back as I play around, there will still be goodies posted a couple of times a week.

Also on an exciting note...I am venturing into an exciting scrapbook project with a fellow demonstrator.  I cannot wait to share this fabulous new resource that will be available to challenge you to get "scrappin'"!!  Look for details in the next couple of weeks...
